Tim Peneliti LPDP-RISPRO (Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education - Research and Innovation Scholarship Recipients) and the Research Group from Bank Sel Gamet UB (Brawijaya University) actively participated in promoting Senduro Goats during the Senduro Goat Mega Contest and PE (Artificial Insemination) event at Eco Green Park on July 7 and 8, 2018. The goat contest was attended by Senduro and PE goat farmers, both individually and as members of goat farming groups in East Java, particularly those who are part of the HPDKI (Association of Goat and Sheep Farmers of Indonesia) association. This contest event was a prelude to a much larger event planned for the same location in November 2018. The event was a success and was visited by thousands of participants from contesting farmers, visitors, the general public, middle and high school students, university students from the Malang region and East Java, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Central Java, and Jakarta. The contest area and the area showcasing goat-related products from small and medium enterprises (UMKM) were crowded with visitors from Eco Green Park and tourists from various regions. These tourists not only visited the attractions in this East Java tourist destination but also stopped by the goat contest area.

According to the Operation Manager of Eco Green Park, Anggun Dwi Cahyono, who was also the coordinator of the event, this contest marked the beginning of preparations for a larger national event planned for November 2018. This upcoming event is targeted to be more lively and impactful on a national scale, particularly for Senduro goat farming. It's worth mentioning that such a national event is necessary and beneficial to introduce one of East Java's distinctive animal breeds, the Senduro Goat. This breed was officially recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture in 2014 as a superior breed originating from East Java. H. Harjo, the Chairman of HPDKI East Java, stated that the next event will also include a National Gathering of Indonesian Goat and Sheep Farmers (Silatnas) and a national goat and sheep carnival, which is planned to be attended by the President of Indonesia. The Senduro goats participating in the contest are divided into four classes: Class A, B, and C, as well as the Extreme Class, competing for the Eco Green Park Cup 2018.

The Brawijaya University team, consisting of the LPDP-RISPRO Research Team from the Ministry of Finance of Indonesia, the UB Research Group from Bank Sel Gamet, and BBIB-Singosari (the Singosari Cattle Breeding and Research Institute), participated by supporting the promotion of Senduro Goat products, including frozen semen for Artificial Insemination of Senduro Goats. According to Dr. Gatot Ciptadi, the head of the LPDP-RISPRO Team and also the head of the Bank Sel Gamet UB Research Group, this contest has the advantage of being an excellent and effective educational and promotional platform to showcase superior breeding and technology introduction, such as Artificial Insemination, in the Indonesian goat farming sector. During the event, the UB team demonstrated the implementation of Artificial Insemination on Senduro Goats, coordinated by Dr. Agus Budiarto, a member of the UB team. The demonstration received enthusiastic responses from the contest visitors. This event gained more prominence due to the participation of various institutions and private companies, including local governments, HPDKI East Java, Batu City Officials, East Java Provincial Department, Animal Husbandry Department of Malang and surrounding areas, UPT Ternak Kambing (Goat Farming Extension Center), and HMT Singosari. Several practitioners interested in goat farming also participated. The event was made even more vibrant with the participation of sponsors such as Jatim Park Group/Eco Green Park, Jaya Show Kediri, and several renowned companies from East Java.
