Frozen semen from superior bull cattle at BBIB Singosari is produced as a biological factory cared for with special management including:

The production process of frozen semen at BBIB Singosari consists of several stages:
1. Preparation of prime bulls for semen collection
Prime bulls ready for semen collection are those in prime condition, healthy, well-fed, and bathed.
2. Evaluation of fresh semen quality
Fresh semen meeting the quality criteria for further production is examined for quality, including motility, abnormalities, concentration, pH, consistency, color, and volume.
3. Dilution and cooling
Frozen semen meeting the criteria based on the evaluation of fresh semen undergoes gradual dilution and cooling. The dilution process consists of three stages: A1, A2, and B, and is maintained at a temperature of 3-5°C.
Distribution of Frozen Semen
At the sperm bank, frozen semen that has been submitted undergoes treatment until distribution to customers.
- Treatment of frozen semen
After arriving at the sperm bank, the quality of frozen semen is maintained through regular addition of N2. The containers used for storing frozen semen are also regularly cared for with routine filling and cleaning.
