As part of livestock development efforts in Indonesia, the Singosari Large Artificial Insemination Center (BBIB Singosari) has established a collaboration with Padjajaran University. This collaboration aims to enhance the quality and productivity of community livestock through research related to Belgian Blue cattle. BBIB Singosari provides various materials and data required for this research. The Belgian Blue breed is thoroughly studied and evaluated, with the results of this research expected to contribute to the utilization of Belgian Blue cattle.

Belgian Blue cattle are known for their rapid growth rate. Purebred Belgian Blue calves can weigh up to 52 kg at birth, while crossbreeds range from 27 to 55 kg. They exhibit an average daily weight gain of 1.2-1.6 kg. When fully grown, male Belgian Blue cattle can reach a weight of 1,100-1,250 kg. This characteristic makes Belgian Blue a promising option for the development of beef cattle in Indonesia.
