BBIB Singosari and UD Kambing Burja have entered into a partnership to develop sheep farming. This collaboration involves the establishment of a livestock facility by UD Kambing Burja. In the process, BBIB Singosari will collect semen from the ram sheep. The collected semen will be evaluated and processed to become frozen sheep semen. UD Kambing Burja will provide the livestock facility area along with superior sheep, while the BBIB Singosari team will oversee the maintenance process, animal feeding, and the health of these sheep.

The purpose of this collaboration is to provide the community with high-quality frozen semen from the best sheep at an affordable cost, thus enhancing the quality of sheep in the community. Previously, individuals who wanted to breed their female sheep with superior rams had to incur substantial costs and efforts. With the availability of superior frozen sheep semen, all processes can be easily conducted through Artificial Insemination.

The sheep being developed in this partnership are Dorper sheep. Dorper sheep have the advantage of higher carcass quality compared to regular sheep, and they are well-suited for tropical climates like Indonesia. The meat from Dorper sheep also has low fat content. The head of BBIB Singosari mentioned that this partnership for storing frozen semen is just an initial step, and the collaboration will be further enhanced to provide broader benefits.
