Track Record BBIB Singosari has had a long history of international collaboration. From 2007 to 2012, in cooperation with the Japanese Government (JICA), BBIB Singosari conducted international training in 20 countries with 115 participants. As Indonesia's representative, BBIB Singosari has also been actively engaged in South-South and Triangular Cooperation (KSST) as an Implementing Agency, providing expertise to train member countries of KSST. This collaboration aims to promote economic progress in developing countries in the southern hemisphere. Notably, in 2013, BBIB Singosari conducted training for 6 countries (Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Myanmar, Cambodia, Afghanistan, and Timor Leste) and also made its inaugural Frozen Semen Export to these countries. As a Leading Center in animal reproduction technology, BBIB Singosari continues to be a target for other developing countries, aiming to become their Trainer in livestock development. Through KSST, countries like Palestine and Timor Leste have come to Indonesia for training in animal reproduction technology.
BBIB Singosari as an Implementing Agency for Kyrgyzstan Since 2015 until now, BBIB Singosari has organized several series of International Technical Assistance for Kyrgyzstan. These include Technical Guidance on AI Management, Bull Management and Feed Preservation, Artificial Insemination, Pregnancy Examination, Reproductive Technical Assistance, Semen Production, and Semen Handling. A total of 8 technical training sessions have been conducted for Kyrgyzstan, involving approximately 86 participants with diverse backgrounds such as officers, academics, technical staff, practitioners, and business professionals. This Technical Assistance series is a form of Reverse Linkage Project cooperation between the Indonesian Government - Islamic Development Bank (IDB) - Kyrgyzstan Government. This collaboration is a derivative of the MoU signed between Bappenas and IDB on April 6, 2013, which was followed by the visit of Kyrgyzstan's Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Janybek Kerimaliev, to Indonesia on March 28, 2016, to conduct a High-Level Meeting. This meeting between the Indonesian and Kyrgyzstan governments took place at Bappenas and the Ministry of Agriculture, with the main agenda being the signing of the MoU on Reverse Linkage Cooperation for Strengthening Artificial Insemination of Cattle. This signing signifies that the cooperation between the two countries will continue until 2017.
BBIB Singosari Sending Experts to Kyrgyzstan As a form of assistance for the provided training, BBIB Singosari has started sending its experts to Kyrgyzstan. The first deployment of experts took place from June to July and will continue gradually from 2016 to 2017. To achieve the vision of strengthening artificial insemination in Kyrgyzstan, the experts sent are not only reproductive specialists but also experts supporting the success of AI implementation, such as feed experts, lab technicians, and livestock management specialists. Frozen Semen Export This year, BBIB Singosari has exported 3,700 doses of frozen semen to Kyrgyzstan. Through the framework of this Reverse Linkage, collaboration between the two parties can also be a starting point for further business collaboration. Many entrepreneurs who attended training at BBIB Singosari are often interested in purchasing frozen semen directly after witnessing the collection of superior BBIB Singosari sires and the internationally standardized frozen semen process. In the near future, BBIB Singosari will export an additional 10,000 doses of frozen semen to Kyrgyzstan. Often referred to as a "sperm factory," BBIB Singosari currently has a stock of approximately 3.9 million doses of frozen semen and can produce over 2 million doses of frozen semen annually, exceeding the national demand of 3.8 million doses per year. The availability of stock, internationally standardized product quality, and ease of collaboration support BBIB Singosari in expanding its network for frozen semen exports.
